Amazingly, I received a wired version from work as an incentive reward. I went to Bose downtown with the unopened box and gave them $50 and they traded me for the wireless ones. I do admit they are pretty spendy and being a ham and Polish I may not have shelled out the bucks if I didn't get the wired for free.

Russ,
Where did you find the Bose headphones? They are usually good but pricey. I have never connected Bluetooth to any of my radios before.
Scott,
I have a pair of $10.00 Walmart headphones but the audio is way down. How about yours? I like the type that cover the entire ear or the stethoscope variety. Most make my ears want to fall off after a few hours of use.
Had a reasonably good contest except for a visit from Murphy. Gotta go. More later.

BIG LOTS.
They’re these crummy Sentry over the ear muff-type headphones that sell for something like $10 a pair. Their wonderful-ness for hi-fi audio may be suspect, but they are comfortable and superb communications headphones that block outside sound pretty well as well.
They look like this. Apparently available at WalMart, too.
Hello All,
Good to hear so many of you this weekend.
A few points for the club.
I exceeded my goal (of 100 QSOs), with ~10x my 2021 score, major factors include: more time in chair a new pair of headphones (that work for me)* meager CW skills have improved enough to occasionally ‘read’ the pileup I’m trying to get through
I was pleasantly surprised to break a few pileups with my meager antenna.
And I was surprised by the ‘giant pileups’ on JA stations towards the end of the contest. Good for me (CW practice), and obviously fun for the JA stations.
I’ve not checked yet, but I think there may be a few new countries for DXCC and/or CQ DX Marathon.

Amazing how many more weak stations I can hear well enough to call now. Thanks Jeff KQ7I for the ’trial run’ on the phone contest a cpl weeks ago

I love my crappy $10 headphones. They are superb for communications audio including SSB and CW because they're not so great for music.
If your audio doesn't sound right, it could be an impedance thing, although with the "el cheapo" headphones, I have never had an issue with impedances.

I have had similar success with cheap headphones. Especially for cw hi Fi is not really needed. And on the other hand, I experienced using Sony studio monitor phones on a field day and had to get my own. Super comfortable and great sound. Some radios have adjustable equalization which can be helpful.
