I remembered Gwyn's test file:-

alan@raspberrypi:~/wsprdaemon $ ./bin/jt9 --fst4w -p 120 -f 1500 -F 100 220719_1418.wav/
./bin/jt9: /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgfortran.so.5: version `GFORTRAN_10' not found (required by ./bin/jt9)

Hello Alan

It's an issue I did come across, but I can't remember the solution or workaround that Rob found ...

It arises from changes made to the jt9 decoder in WSJT-X 2.6.0 onward where they call on the GFORTRAN_10 compiler as well as previous versions. But, Buster being a legacy OS, it can't be updated to run GFORTRAN_10.

this chart can be handy in understanding these OS boundaries

Hi Alan,

Thanks for posting your problem.  I had just installed WD 3.0.6 on a customer's Pi Buster and didn't noticed that the jt9 decoder wasn't working for the same reason: WJT-x 2.6.x doesn't run on Buster, only on the newer Bullseye OS.   It will take me a few minutes to fix WD after which I'll post when you can 'git pull' to get my fix.

Rob

Edited

I have just installed a fix for Pi 'buster' WD clients.
'git pull' to get that code
