Re-purpose Android smartphone for wsprdaemon?
I am about to retire a Pixel 3 Android smartphone. As I understand it, it should be possible to install the Linux operating system on an old Android smartphone like this....which leads to my question. I wonder if anyone here has any experience installing/running wsprdaemon on such a device. I also wonder how the CPU horsepower might compare to a Pi4 for such a use.

I expect it would be a major effort to port WD to such an environment since there are many, many library dependencies. Since my WD installations at KPH on a Pi4 and AI6VN on a Thinkcentre are running out of CPU, I am exploring port WD on to the new Mac OSX / M1 CPU as a long term solution to my out of CPU problmes On Mon, Sep 26, 2022 at 7:56 AM Bruce KX4AZ <bruce@...> wrote: I am about to retire a Pixel 3 Android smartphone.
