Vers. 3.06 on legacy OS of Raspberry Pi
ON5KQ
After I input "wdln" in the terminal window and then watching the terminal notes while my Raspberry pi 4b is running WD version 3.06 (latest one) makes me wonder, if Vers 3.06 really can run on a pi
The legacy OS is installed - no 64bit or other fancy OS But the logs look very different than in the past. wdle shows no obvious errors though Is Vers 3.06 ok for my Raspberry ? Unfortunately the Thinkcenters Motherboard is dead - so no other computer than raspberry from now on... Ulli |

Hi Ulli, I just logged on to your Pi and it seems to be working well: 85 spots were uploaded in the most recent wspr cycle. Your Pi is near the limits of its CPU and so it might run out of time and upload 2 wpsr cycles at once. run 'wdle' to see if such 'out of cpu time' ERRORs are being reported, but I don't see any yet Rob On Sat, Jan 21, 2023 at 7:18 AM ON5KQ <ON5KQ@...> wrote: After I input "wdln" in the terminal window and then watching the terminal notes while my Raspberry pi 4b is running WD version 3.06 (latest one) makes me wonder, if Vers 3.06 really can run on a pi --

Thanks Rob, for taking a look...
I was not sure. Also I remembered, what you said about testing the latest WD 3.06 on raspberry, as making a debugging set-up at your side rather time consuming. But may be it would require, to change the OS on my Pi to the latest 64bit OS ?! I know, that a PI is really not the hardware we should use now, as the CPU performance is not really what you need for more than one kiwi. But the Thinkcenter motherboard died and even I think it is not good choice. Power supply got very hot as CPU constantly run 100% I will now prepare for new antennas, which can permanently been installed. Cannot do all the work for temp. large winter setup, which consume the place on the fields (beverage arrays, etc...) In the meantime WD will run only on selected bands with the PI ... regards, Ulli ON5KQ |
