If you set WSJT-X to a different band after setting the
radio manually there will be no error and you will be able to
transmit on 30m but of course you are free to operate whichever
bands you prefer. On 7/13/22 00:03, Stuart Ogawa wrote:

Glenn, Yes, I had manually set icom to 10.138700 and tested tx audio at several spots between 1400 to 1600 ---> wsjt x app error message arises. For now, I will bypass 30m On Mon, Jul 11, 2022 at 7:18 PM Glenn Elmore <n6gn@...> wrote:

make sure your dial setting is 10.138700 and your txaudio
setting somewhere between 1400-1600. This will put you in
the WSPR band, 10.141100 - 10.141300 where (all?) WD
spotters are listening. When I do this I receive reports from stations with WD scheduled to decode the particular mode I'm transmitting,e.g. (with 12 Hz transmit frequency error because I didn't have power applied to the GPS reference to the radio) set to 1500 Hz I get spots such as:

Ran several 30m experiments attempting to beacon tx on 30m with my gear without success Frustrating ----- 1:35 UTC ; 6:35PM PST Begin FST4W tx beacon service on 20m from San Jose, CA Sub mode = 900 Call sign WB6YRW 2 watts vertical ----- Received two dell workstations today --> these will be setup for dedicated fst4w beacon tx bands Waiting for QXDs exciters to ship; my two sons and I will solder these together Still need to buy and install a vertical ---> outcome: 3 antennas/exciters/transceivers to simultaneously transmit fst4w on 3 bands, nonstop
