Newbie installing WD

Rob Robinett

Hi Robin,

It seems you have a DNS problem.
If you want me to look at your installation, you can configure WD to provide me with remote access.  To do that add this line to your wsprdaemon.conf file:

REMOTE_ACCESS_CHANNEL=38

Then run ./wsprdaemon.sh -V which should report that it has opened a remote access channel.

Then email me the WD user account and password  and I'll log in and see if I can help,

73,

Rob

I have downloaded the program from GitHub and followed the instructions (READ.ME) for a greenfield site install.  I have a NUC i3 running Mint 20.2.

Following faithfully the instruction to create a new user called wsprdaemon, with sudo rights, and logging on as wsprdaemon, as below, I now get the following result

wsprdaemon@shack:~/wsprdaemon$ ./wsprdaemon.sh -V
Cloning into 'kiwiclient'...
fatal: unable to connect to github.com:

What am I missing? Help please.
