What are the sh.thd.xxxxx files?

Greetings y'all,
I have not been diving into the WD deep enough and being short of time to educate myself in regards to the program. I have a question. Suddenly the tmp/ is filling up with sh.thd.xxxxx files. What are they and is there anything I should do about it?? Rolf K9DZT |

Another forum contributor mentioned this phenomenon and pointed me at https://github.com/scop/bash-completion/issues/199 WD 3.0 uses the 'here' redirection ('<<< "TEXT") and that article has prompted me to put on my TODO list removing such usage.
