failed install libgfortran5
John
I ended up with a version deadlock between cmake and the library listed.
I upgraded tom18;04 and all went OK. I built wsjtx from source and all wsprdaemon is good. John |

I can't imagine that binaries for 20.04 could run on 16.0, but anything is possible. After jt-x installation, can you execute 'wsprd' from a terminal window? I did a package scan at packages.ubuntu.com and find it is ONLY listed for 21.04. Are there options on apt-get to get from 21.04? Will that LIB work on a 16.04 machine? --

I copied ws[rd, jt9 and wsprd.version over to wsprdaemon/bin form a x86 laptop and did a chmod +x but I still get the libgfortran5 message with wd -V

run 'find / -name wsprd' to find where wsjt-x puts it Nope, did not work. wsjtx installed with no errors. I ran wsjtx and got two displays. The control display would not stretch to give a proper field display. --

There is no wsprd file in the bin folder to copy? I will look for a wsprd on a x86 laptop as the only other copy I have is for aarch64 machine. |

I have no Ubuntu 16.x systems to test installation. If you can successfully install WSJT-x and run it on that machine, you could try to copy /usr/local/bin/wsprd to ~/wsprdaemon/bin/. On Fri, May 28, 2021 at 7:39 PM jimcny2 <jimcny@...> wrote:
