Lol. Monumental. yeah I'd say so for me especially as a linux newb. I just went to create a wsprdaemon user on the omega and it reported it doesn't have the adduser applet. It didn't initially even ha

Well I thought it best to let you know so you could change it pronto. Yes the cost of everything is rising eh? But then it seems like every time you turn around you find out we've been lied to. Well m

Just had a look at the yellow thing. Neat little device. Kinda reminds me of an Omega by Onion.io but the onion device is essentially a tiny linux machine running an OpenWRT router. As such it is righ

Rob Very clever, but I hate to say this but I can see yout YT SSID and password.... Isn't there going to be a groundloop between the YT and the Kiwi host and client ports? It's only about 20cm in diam

The Pi in the FiredogSDR can run 8 channel WD
That looks pretty straight forward and yeah I already edited my local copy of your example .config file so I wouldn't forget to set localhost:8073. Well I guess now it's just hurry up and wait time...

I suspected that but wasn't sure. I don't expect to see my FD arrive till September probably but in the mean time if you have any chance to write down the steps you used it will help me a lot and woul

Is that a typo for Flydog, or sarcasm, or is there actually another SDR called Firedog? I looked but came up empty?

Glenn, how did you deal with the processing delay? Here it is almost a full second through the Kiwi. I can't handle that, my fist stops in an instant when my delayed CW hits my ears. Turning volume kn

That's interesting. I tried modelling several different variations but for the phased pair I found that deviating from the corner driven diamond shape resulted in degredation to the pattern either in

Yes well, it may be a while but I will certainly do so. This started out with me trying to use a phased pair of LoG antennas to improve reception of europeans on 160m to my tiny noisy suburban lot wit

Yes I think I muddied the waters by referring to KiwiSDR when I meant the RaspberrySDR. Anyways, it's all clear now and thanks to you both for being patient with me and answering my questions to the d

I think I'm missing something here. You keep mentioning wired LAN connections. I'm talking about running the SDR stand alone with wspr daemon running on the same pi that is connected to the SDR hardwa

Thanks Rob and Glenn for your comments. I am doing tests with a pair of phased loops so good current balance and they are each coupled to their feedline through an isolation transformer at the amtenna

Hi Glenn Thanks for the very quick and informative response. Since I have no experience with the Pi, before I buy one do you have any other recommendations given that I intend to run this from a batte
