Re: failed install libgfortran5
I ended up with a version deadlock between cmake and the library listed.
I upgraded tom18;04 and all went OK. I built wsjtx from source and all wsprdaemon is good.

Re: failed install libgfortran5
I can't imagine that binaries for 20.04 could run on 16.0, but anything is possible.
After jt-x installation, can you execute 'wsprd' from a terminal window?

Re: failed install libgfortran5
I did a package scan at packages.ubuntu.com and find it is ONLY listed for 21.04. Are there options on apt-get to get from 21.04? Will that LIB work on a 16.04 machine?

Re: failed install libgfortran5
I have no Ubuntu 16.x systems to test installation.
If you can successfully install WSJT-x and run it on that machine, you could try to copy /usr/local/bin/wsprd to ~/wsprdaemon/bin/.

Re: Transient missing spots events may require WD server CPU upgrade
The NUC may not be enough... I use a single Odroid XU4 to handle 26 channels worth of WD and haven't seen issues yet (but you look more carefully now)

Welcome Roland. I am excited to hear about your project and could host one of your transmitters at my rural Maui site near where my friend Tom Worthington deployed and maintains the RBN site.
