Rolf,
I agree with your interest in a low cost FST4W-capable transmitter. Gwyn and I also own and have measured the QDX's suitability for FST4W on HF. As you describe, what we found

Re: Deep Decoding and CPU Loading
There is a "WSPR Challenge" web site http://wspr.pe1itr.com which treats WSPR reporting as a contest.
But I don't think anyone in this WD views WSPR in that way.

The quest for a simple FST4W tx
It looks like the RFzero could fit the bill, but there is one big problem and that is availability. This situation will probably not resolve in the near future so this unit is out if you don't own

Wow!
First, Chess Grandmaster Hans Niemann's cheating scandal makes international news.
(He was suspected of being signaled moves with an undetectable wireless vibrator).
Now a cheating scandal

Re: Deep Decoding and CPU Loading
Tom, your place is "spacious" compared to mine. My testing was done both here, at one extreme, and at Steve's, closer to the other.

Jim,
There are just so many variables often not considered, some of which were left out are how it can help at a site that has much higher noise floors, and compromise antennas.

The effects of reducing the -C value to 3000 will align you with many others who run that or less. I would anticipate that the false count will drop although you may still be high as you run

Tom,
You gave me some information on your setup, so perhaps it's nice if I do the same.
Up to the moment that I decided to switch off at 29 september I was using one Kiwi receiver and one Perseus

wsprdaemon stopped upload to wsprnet
Hello,
My wsprdaemon installation (OE3XOE) stopped the upload to wsprnet yesterday at 14:50 UTC. Could not find any reason for that.
I am running the wsprdaemon on a i5 and I am using a flydog-sdr.

Hans,
Your reporting of false spots with Tom's call sign is corrupting the wsprnet.org and wsprdaemon.org spot databases. Tom has been making crucial contributions to our wsprdaemon development

Re: RFzero as a GPS referenced FST4W transmitter
That is excellent. In the last hour your WD client has spotted every one of your transmissions.
Amazingly, EA8BFK is spotting you very frequently

Hello Thomas,
I noticed that you are cheating for more than one month in WSPR receiving and sending very many false spots. You are top score nr 1 for the whole month in the falls spots

I put the RFZero in a cooler with an insulated top. It should be pretty temperature stable after the cooler temperature adjusts to the room.
