Society for the History of Astronomy meeting - 29th October

On Saturday 29th October `The Society for the History of Astronomy' are holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Birmingham & Midland Institute, about 10 minutes walk from New Street Station. Several WAS members are hoping to go up to Birmingham for the day to attend the meeting.
The talks planned are:
Dr. Clive Davenall - 'Lost World: Images of Mars before the space age
Brian Sheen - The life and times of John Couch Adams from 1819 to 1847
Dr Allan Chapman - Airy's Greenwich Staff

Tickets are just £10 for the day. You will need to bring some money for tea/coffee on arrival and you will need to bring your own lunch (or buy it in the café)

We need to book places in advance, so you will need to pay in full NO LATER than 3rd Thursday meeting at Crown East on Thursday 20th October.
