Timer Reset Macro

K9JB

If I have a macro: DE K9JB <RX><TX> to go from transmit to receive back to transmit, it ignores the <TX> command and leaves the program in receive.  If I write a macro <TX> then switch off the transmit and hit the TX command it goes to transmit.

ONE <TX> and ONE <RX> per macro.

That’s what I’m trying to do except its <RX><TX>.  Can I call a macro from a different macro?  I couldn’t find it on the list.

Jerry,

Just hit the T/R toggle macro twice. First hit goes back to Rx and the second puts it back in Tx. Pretty simple. It's already in your default macros unless you've changed it. I think it defaults to F8.

Cliff,

I think this is what you’re saying is: DE K9JB <TX/RX><TX/RX>.  Is that correct?

Yes, there is or was a macro button already defined as that command.

Just realized that your question was all within one macro. I haven't tried that, but my intent was for you to hit the same macro button twice, not an all in one macro.

Ah ha.  That would definitely reset the timer, but it would also send DE K9JB twice.  I discovered that if I hit the Pause key twice it toggles TX off and back on and resets the timer.  I believe Dave said to do what I want would take a new macro that would just reset the timer.

One more way.  I only want to reset the time when I ID.  So, I put <RX> in with my call on F1 and then just hit the Pause key one time to turn TX aback on.
