Thanks Dave! I knew I could key FSK via
the ACC port (same as my 746), but had hoped I could key it this
way (no extra cables or devices!). AFSK works well, so not gonna
fix it, since it ain't broke!

The TNC can be simple a USB-DTR-optoisolator ciruit, from flrig on-line help: Suitable for both CW and FSK keyline control. Either DTR or RTS can be used as the control signal. I have one built in to a serial port case. The circuit board is 5/8" x 5/8". The optoisolator is a dual isolator; one side for CW and the other for FSK. David On 12/16/21 12:17, Dave Corio via

Should this setup work for the IC-7200
as well? Tried FSK and CW keying with only partial success. In CW
the rig will go into transmit, but no RF output (break-in on). In
FSK, also goes into transmit, however only a single tone is output
(verified by remote SDR).
Running Win 10 (all current updates)
and controlling the 7200 via USB cable. FLRig performs perfectly
with FLDigi and WSJT-X, but I suspect I'm barking up the wrong
tree, since the 7200 has fewer features that the better models.

Ok, understand now. I suspect you will have to manually turn activate the tone squelch. It could be assumed that since almost all repeaters use a PL tone that the Tone Squelch would be already set on and all you need to do is to select the correct tone.

Cliff,
I should have given more info. I'm using the Icom IC-705. I did open the Band selection and have selected 2mtrs (FM) and selected the PL Tone. I see no button to enable the Tone. Just by selecting FM is that supposed to enable the Tone function?? When I select the PL Tone the radio's display does NOT show TONE being turned on nor does the radio key up the repeater. I haven't tested it yet on my IC-9700. That's next on my list. 73 de Steve KB6HOH |

Interesting development of flrig!
Daily I use fldigi but since I am interested testing FSK RTTY, I tried it in flrig 1.4.3.16 on Win 7 and IC7300 in RTTY mode with RTS keying configured there. No COM-port sharing software used in this test. COM port runs at 115200 bd, and works fine. Trying the flrig FSK keyer with CWIO shared, it keys the rig but no rtty heard on rig sidetone. Flrig event list says essentially E: setRTS: Invalid handle: No error: [09:15:08.153] E: SetCommunicationTimeouts: Read Interval Timeout............... 1 Read Total Timeout Multiplier....... 0 Read Total Timeout Constant Timeout. 1 Write Total Timeout Constant........ 0 Write Total Timeout Multiplier...... 0 [09:15:08.153] D: startXcvrSerial: Serial port: Port : COM17 Baud : 9 Stopbits : 1 Retries : 2 Timeout : 50 Loop : 200 RTSCTS : 0 CATptt : 1 RTSptt : 0 DTRptt : 0 RTS+ : 0 DTR+ : 0 [09:16:03.719] E: setRTS: Invalid handle: No error [09:16:03.741] E: setRTS: Invalid handle: No error [09:16:03.763] E: setRTS: Invalid handle: No error ... Does this reveals anything to anyone? --- As a side, trying FSK RTTY keying on RTS on fldigi 1.4.20.36 instead, yields the same results as reported earlier, missing many single chars on FSK RTTY Tx. But RTTY is heard on rig sidetone. 73 |

fldigi and n3fjp software
I have been using both FLDigi and N3FJP contest software together for almost two decades. I have never had issues connecting between any of Scott's programs, be it a sweepstakes, a rtty round up, qso party etc., but I am having issue recently. I could not get FLDigi to connect to his AARL 10 meter contest program, or his latest 160 meter ARRL contest program. I see the communications stream but it does not connect. I have tried both FLDigi 4.1.20 and fldigi4.1.18. I am not the only one, as my friend Mike could not get his computer to connect either. Both of my versions of FLDigi will immediately connect with some older versions of his contest loggers like his NA sprint contest logger from last year and his cq wpx contest log from last year as well. Have you had other complaints or inquiries.
