Is there a way to move macros in the place you want them without having to retype them in ?
Thanks

Re: Cw help

Bob McGraw - K4TAX <rmcgraw@...>

The FLDIGI CW decoder is about an average performing decoder.  I've tried CWGET, HRD, DX-40, and a couple of others.  The real issue lies more in the quality of the CW signal received.  Now quality includes signal strength, signal-to-noise ratio, and more importantly, the quality of the generated CW.  I find that computer-generated CW, is best in as much as the length of the dits and dahs as well as the spacing is very important.  Next, is CW sent with a keyer, although the spacing between letters will often confuse the decoder.  At least the dits and dahs are the correct lengths.   And last is hand key sent CW unless the operator is darn near perfect with his element length and spacing.

Good luck.

Re: contest serial number setup?

Yep, and it worked fine. Turns out <SERNO> is the same as <CNTR>. :)
I must have had fldigi audio settings off or something. For once it was not as good as the MRP40 program I use in tandem. I need to do some checking.
Here's the funny way I operated.fjp
I used the Icom canned messages and S/N to send ,  MRP 40 to copy, and fldigi /N3FJP logger for the logging only.
Worked great, had a great time.

Well, now i seem to have lost the ability to reverse the waterfall, again! Look at the screen shot from K4TAX with the same version as my Fldigi and he has CW-R in a box under the frequency display. I had that as well, 5 months ago, and could reverse the frequency display of teh waterfall to match reality, but now it is gone and something looking like an S-meter is in that space. What changed? How do I get back to seeing the drop-down mode control?

Bo,

Have a look at the fldigi help section 15.9 I suspect it will answer your questions.

Using a N3FJP contest program for the CQ WPX CW contest with fldigi, I get stuck setting up the fldigi serial number exchange

I use <CNTR> in my transmitted exchange.  I resend it until confirmed and THEN log it.
For the log macro I have <LOG> <INCR>
Is that correct?
I don't quite know how to use <SERNO>

Loving the CAT mode for CW and the radio in CW mode! Nice
N3FJP contest logger/spotter is pretty good too!

Help appreciated.

I just read the docs and see I have it correct.  I'll just ignore the <SERNO>
However I have had difficulties with it in the past getting the counter and transmitted serial number aligned. But I can't recall.  I'll take notes this time.

I did learn that you do not have to enter your serial numbers sequentially and not skip numbers. Any number (used once) can be used and its the matching up with the receiving end that counts.
Any tips appreciated .
