Fldigi user manual does a good job explaining how to connect to N3FJP logging software. It should tell that while connected to N3FJP log the duplicate check feature will not work.

Duplicate check only works for contacts in the fldigi log. If you log elsewhere it can’t check that log.

Re: FLDIGI receive signals shifting freq on Imac

Joe,

The linuxham@groups.io group is for linux and Mac.

Probably what you are seeing is the AFC moving because of a strong sig close in. Try turning off the AFC, bottom right below the waterfall, and see if the changing stops. You could need to compensate your sound card if that is not staying put. Fldigi has a procedure to do that. See in the manual.

I've noticed an issue with decoding received PSK signals when using the most recent versions of FLDIGI on my Imac.  After varying periods of time, the received signals (waterfall traces) suddenly shift a bit to the right or left.  When this happens, no decoding takes place.  THE RIG FREQUENCY does NOT change.

I tried another Mac program today, and this problem did not happen.  (I used CocoaModem).  I had two lengthy QSO's and all received signals were rock solid (did not shift on the display).

Can someone suggest a setting I can look at in FLDIGI that might prevent this?

Re: Rig Control Issue

Cliff

Joe,

When that happens it usually means that Fldigi doesn’t see the correct serial port or the radio may not be on or connected. It’s a symptom of communications failure somewhere along the path. Verify that Windows hasn’t changed the com port number and that the baud rate is set correctly.

MACRO issue with <TIMER:NN> tag

Guy G4DWV 4X1LT

Hi,

I have a macro set up with the timer tag set to 60.

No matter what period I have set, the macro is tempremental and will often only have the delay once even if I have not touched the mouse. I have read the section in the manual about what stops the timer from working.

How can I get reliability so the timer will work every time?

Then it all makes sense! Have fun, but consider rig control. It adds another dimension to the mix!

Re: Fldigi 4 won't start. Just flashes and goes away.

Dear Paul,

I managed to launch FLDIGI.
First I uninstalled it, re installed , same no progress, further I just started to launch different programs to see, if only FLDIGI is affected,
DIGIPAN and  WSJT smoothly running, Mix4W a trial version also failed to start .
I made system restore back to 24/02, install FLDIGI and it is running.
I will give it a try after, resetting and some macros editing.
Mix4W not installed.

Paul, I will up date you on the progress.
Hope to meet on the frequency.

I don't know that the issue I'm stating below is the same issue that you are facing, but I've seen that when I've configured fldigi to work with a particular USB sound dongle, then close fldigi, then disconnect the USB sound dongle from the PC, then restart fldigi (with that USB sound dongle NOT connected to the computer) that fldigi will briefly show the fldigi window on the computer and then close on its own, with the window flash lasting about 500ms.  If I then reconnect that USB sound dongle to the computer and then start fldigi, then fldigi with operate OK again, no problem.  Close fldigi, disconnect the USB sound card, restart fldigi and it will again flash the window for about 500ms and then close on its own.

It's as though if fldigi doesn't see the USB sound card it expects to see it just closes (immediately closes) right after startup.

Thanks for the information.
I take your solution in account in the case I would be in trouble again.

I found out the config turning the IC7610 working with FLDIGI.
I have took some screen shots of the FLDIGI config and will do the same with the ic7610.
That will be an easy way to remember the way to get rid of such lost of time and patience ...hi

Nnow I am fighting with WSJT-x and the IC-7610  not easy too if some one has a list "how to" that would be great
My flexradio 6000 is much more easy to link to a computer than the 7610 " according to me......."

Thanks for reading my request of help.
The new SDR IC-7610 is a bit tricky for what it concerne the way to use it with Fldigi.
The ic-7610.xml file seems to be not available.
So I have used the ic-7600.xml one.

After many hours reading the web at the end FLDIGI is nearly to work fine.
The last issue is that the VFO displays from the icom 7610  and the computer using Fldigi are not working on team...hi
Do you know where to do some thing and what to get rid of this small problem.

Thanks in advance
