During the recent CQ WPX RTTY contest I found AFC of little use. It would not track on the upper bands hardly at all, on 40 and 80 is did some but was less robust than I expected. It would not tune to signals calling me great than 20Hz away. Is this typcial for FLdigi AFC? This is my first time useing FLdigi. My prior experience has been with MMTTY and have not had the same problem.
Also is there any instruction on how to set the Signal Ranges for various band conditions, I don't find anything on searching the manual? I found a lot of fading on lower bands and these settings might have helped.
