Anybody have a sewing pattern recommendation  for a lightweight shirt with 3/4 quarter length sleeves? I checked Daryl Lancaster’s site but patterns too heavy for Texas heat. Thanks for any brain biscuits.

Try Silhouette Patterns https://silhouettepatterns.com/Stephanies-Blouse_p_335.html

StyleArc has a number of tops that might suit, and they are clear about which are for woven fabrics.

these are pretty basic patterns, but I've sewed one of the dresses very successfully. She has two tops that look pretty light:

(I have both patterns, but haven't attempted them yet) - however these are paper patterns, so depending on where you are delivery charges may not make it worth it, unless you get more than one.

Shorten the dress The neckline is good for hot climate. The fabric suggestions include cotton and muslin.

I’ve made this one, but sleeveless. You could shorten the sleeves.

Deb, if you are up for a shortish road trip, head towards Kerrville, and their quilt store- "Creations"  I have used a number of their patters for showing off quilt fabric, you can get up close and read the packages.
