pixeLoom

The missing functions are related to import - threading, treadling or colorway.  It doesn’t allow me to choose any draft. I don’t use this a lot, but it sure is handy when I do.

It also quits unexpectedly when I close out a draft.  This one is really annoying.

Thank you for your input, Rebecca

Hi, All, I’m wondering if anyone has any information about pixeLoom and using it with the new Mac upgrade into Catalina.  When I checked before upgrading, it said it would work.  Now, however, it has lost some of its functionality and quits unexpectedly.  It’s a sad thing, because I really like the clean graphics.

Thank you very much for anything you have to offer.

I don’t know if this will help, Rebecca, but I went to my local Mac group meeting last night and learned something new.

As you know Catalina will not run 32 bit apps, only 64 bit. What I learned last night is that one can run diagnostics - one such app is “64” - that reveal a small part of an app that was not updated and can cause interference. Even Apple’s Final Cut Pro had one 32 bit piece left.

My Mac is slightly too old to run Catalina, and I don’t use pixeLoom, so I don’t have any personal experience to relate but maybe there’s a clue here.
