twist in warp
I'd stretch the bundle out as far as possible and tie onto a backpack full of books. Drag the backpack up to the loom, then retie it back farther. Turn the bundle over when needed. I hope you have man

Moving ring temples....
I've never had an AVL loom to experiment on, but the problem of having adjustable devices had been solved in the woodworking world years ago. Bearing in mind I don't have an AVL, I'll toss out a solut

Shed geometry
The ideal ( in my opinion ) of shed geometry is to have the same distance from the fell ( not the breast beam ) to the center shaft as the distance from the center of the back beam to the center shaft

Hmmm.... Sounds like you're a candidate for permanent cords, a jack loom's shaft with rear hinged treadles will always use the same length of cord for that particular shaft, the next shaft will use on

We use the Crossley # 122 EFS, ( in my opinion, top of the line ) which is hard to find; a medium heavy model with a beautiful bronze tensioner, adjusted with an allen wrench ( kept on the loom on a m

Absolutely right ! Stores see little value in selling anything that'll last too long. I use venetian blind cords because most towns have blind outlets that sell the cord by the yard and it is abrasion

I've colored Texsolv heddles with permanent markers on our 12 CM and the shafts, jacks and lamms are numbered with stick-on numbers. Anything to reduce error goes here. I put letters on the treadles a

Signe's temple stretcher
I have a Signe Temple, still in the bag, never used. I'll trade it for an old handshuttle ( not a flying shuttle or rag shuttle ). It has no instructions but it's two steel cylindrical support bracket

Slub yarn & end-delivery shuttles
No EFS that I've seen can tension a slubby yarn as well as it tensions a yarn with a uniform diameter. I'd use a ski shuttle for the doubled slubby Yarns. Happy Shuttling ! - Bill Koepp in Central Cal

Shuttles
No idea, I have an theory that they are used on narrow work, as it's not possible to throw a short wide shuttle very far. I collect shuttles from many places, however I can't authenticate their origin
