Anyone had success with Chris Hammel's system. Found it in an article from Handwoven March/April 1998?
There is a procedure to change a 4 shaft 4 block overshot pattern to 8 and to redo the tie up -

Some of the beading supply sources have a shiny rayon 'cord' called 'rattail'. Just now, a web search found suppliers for both 2mm. and 3mm. I don't know how large you wanted it to be.

I sell 3/2 Tencel with a knitting twist. Very strong but I don't think that is large enough for you. Undyed or dyed. Undyed on cones or in skeins.

What about adding a row of fusible thread and using it to hold the undulations. For upholstery or a screen like Sarah was suggesting that has rare washing, the stiffness that it adds could be ok I
