Re: Macomber Loom hook question
I have been very frustrated with super hooks and think I will go for texsolv. What ways would the loom be damaged “if not done carefully”?
thanks!

It is great to hear that you are back at the loom after your health scare, Joe!
And yes, Laura provides a lot of great tips that allow us to weave more comfortably.

Re: Macomber Loom hook question
I have never had a problem with hooks coming off my Baby Mac, and I treadle fast and do not release the treadles gently. The hooks fit snugly on the lamms and I remove them with pliars.

We also just went through the AVL-K software upgrade. I haven't used the loom since upgrading as there is no warp on it presently. Maybe you would like to join the AVL-K group in .io Igor, and share

AVL K-series software UpDate
Went through an upgrade of the software on and AVL K series loom this morning. Had a few problems most of which were operator error and computer security interference at my end.

Re: Macomber Loom hook question
I have not found this to be a problem on any macombers I have used. I have only woven on full size mac not baby macs so that might make the difference. I am a production weaver and like the macs
