Look in "Manual of Swedish Handweaving" by Ula Cyrus Zetterstrom. This book, though out of print, is one of my favorites.

Jamtlandsdrall
Is anyone familiar with the Scandinavian weave called
"Jamtlandsdrall"?
I would like to know where I can find a source for
threading, tie-up, treadling. It's pictured in a C.L.

I use from 30 epi to 40 epi for 8-end satin in 10/2 cotton. 5-end satin would require less dense sett than 8-end.

Re: Sett for Satin Weave
Satin requires a very dense sett.
I now work on a drawloom, and for the satins there (you need both
warp and weft effect), I'm putting 20/2 cotton at 60 epi and it is
just right.
I'd normally use 40

If you already had a Fast Sam, I'd say, "Try it." However, I can't recommend
it for serious sampling.
