WeaveTech's new home

Thank you Amy for your efforts to move the list. I am particularly happy to see that the files and photos have been successfully transferred as there are some valuable references therin. Having been involved in moving some other lists to groups.io I understand that it can incur some significant expense and time to do this. If there were any way to help offset the expenses incurred I would like to help along those lines.

Re: Warping Wheel variation
Jill S
No, it is the Warping Square. The Warping Wheel is an AVL product. It's important to differentiate the two, especially when it comes to asking for help with one. For a relevant example, many people will ask for help for their "warping wheels" when they are in fact talking about a warping reel/mill. This leads to wrong advice and confusion on the part of both the person wanting help and the person giving advice. Jill

Some time back there was talk on weave tech of a new warping wheel (not the AVL Warping Wheel) which was motorized and I think it might have been square. Does anyone have any information about this device?

Craig R. Rehbein spinning wheel
Louise Yale
An acquaintance just bought a wheel with "Craig R. Rehbein, 1972" at a
thrift shop in San Rafael, Marin County, California. It is a double drive, dark wood and spins beautifully. Anyone know anything about these wheels or Craig Rehbein? Thanks. Louise in NorCal

Great job Amy! The picture from Sally looked great, in the body of the letter. And I got into the io website to look at old photos easily and quickly!
Thanks for your leadership in this improvement. Jami

Testing the new format
Sally O
Photo loading was easy! (Bamboo towel woven by Frances Irwin Handweaver Deb K.) It's terrific to see all the image and file folders are intact, and the messaging format is not that different from before. Thank you to Amy for initiating the migration, and to all who have contributed content over nearly twenty years!
