I'm still digging my way through the contents of the book.  It looks like there is plenty of material for four and eight shafts and that you could easily do many of these drafts without a dobby.  Just like Echo and Iris, you get your money's worth in design ideas and if you have a multishaft loom, you can easily expand the patterning.  Highly recommended.

lisere and terjido huave

Dear Weavetekkers,

I am researching lisere (or liserie) weave structure.  From what I can understand, it appears to be identical to the Tejido de huave that is described by Erica de Ruiter in her book, 'Tejido huave and beyond'.  Can anyone sort me out about this?

Many thanks to those of you who have purchased my book, Bateman Weaves, the Missing Monograph, released in January 2017. It recently came to my attention that there is an error on p. 35 so I have published an errata sheet that is available on my website: http://handwovencreations.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Bateman-Monograph-6-17-18-P35-Errata.pdf .

OMG, Eileen.  Thank you so much.  I need to watch it again.  So much information has almost been lost through time.  It is interesting that they are using silk.  Silk seems to take up the dye so well.

The Cooper Hewitt design museum has some exhibits coming up that may be of interest to folks. I'm hoping to go later in the year and see them all at once.

The exhibits are the use of color (current), the textiles of Richard Landis (starting June 9), and iridescence (starting July 28).

Re: ISO book

Su's message from May 13th just came in my WTDigets (!)  and I cannot seem to find a way to respond via the post.  I've tried to respond to Su, but except my old (still viable?) e-mail for her seems to function as desired.  So, in an attempt to get the message to her, and others on the list, I'm trying this from the group site.  Wish I were young enough to manage all this technology!

Su, I have an un-bound copy of the Verda’s manuscript and 22, 4x4 inch (still-unmounted) samples from the 1987 Multi-Harness Study Group.  I would offer my entire folder, including Verda’s  original instructions and correspondence with other CW17-patternSG members.  I could send it to CW Seminars and put it up for auction or, to make sure YOU get it, what value would the entire be to you?   I'll plan to make a donation to CW if you buy it direct.  By now you probably have a copy, but please let me know.  krmeek@...
