When I added 4 more shafts to my Spring to make it 12, I moved the bumper hole/slot just a bit higher. Louet already had a hole there ready for the bumper. Yours may not have that but its a simple thing too do. This puts your beater assembly at a more slight angle when inactive, but makes no difference in your shed or sweet spot...but it does hold the assembly about .5 inch more forward than before.
