I trust that the emails I've received mean I'm a current member of the new group.
Once I have confirmation, I'll send an email about a shorting problem I have.
Thanks.

Hi Don,
Notifying the group in this way achieves nothing. You need to update your Yahoo subscription and all will be well.

Re: Manual Reversing loop wiring
I am in favor of toggle switches. Just make sure that it is a "break before make" style or a center-off style so that you can't have the new direction and old polarity at the same time.

Manual wiring for Reverse Loop
I use KATO Unitrack using their power routing setting on their switches.
The package shows wiring diagram for a loop wiring for both power routing and non-power routing switch selection.

Re: Manual Reversing loop wiring
What sort of turnouts control the loop. If you are already using a toggle switch you can get one with two extra poles and directly control the polarity and the aligning switch at the same time. No

Re: Manual Reversing loop wiring
Others may have better idea but if you isolate the loop track which would be needed in future anyway. You then simply add a manual toggle switch. A Double Throw Double Pole DPDT center off style

Re: Dc switches on dcc layout
Yes you can. Building a DC layout does not force you to change how you control turnouts.
How you control turnouts is independent of how you control trains.

Dc switches on dcc layout
Can I install dc switches on a dcc layout? I just want to operate the switches manually not through the dcc system.
