QST this month is a bit on-the-nose for my current struggle...
Well, due to the last night's thunderstorms Dawson power has rescheduled to Friday next week. No matter, I am really enjoying their support regarding this problem. I do have a sample I recorded on my iPhone I could share tomorrow as well as a picture of a blown lightning protector on one pole. I would like to hear other stories.

Thanks for the info Chris! I know a few people at NPPD that might be able to figure out who you talked to, knowing that he's from York and a ham operator himself. I am slowly making progress forward, hopefully if it is indeed a power line issue, I can track down the specific piece of gear, or at least the pole where it's coming from.

Yes! I was thinking of Al too when I saw it. I have loads of information to share at the meeting, and have learned a bunch. Still a looong way to go though, but its progress!
Been an interesting challenge, to say the least. -- 73,

If you are an NPPD customer, the NPPD guy you need to get ahold of is out of York, NE. He is the RFI GUY and was also an Amateur Radio Operator. I called the Kearney NPPD engineer and got the York employees number. After I determined it was
not my RFI, he came to find my offending issues and then put out a service order to Kearney. They had my problem resolved in a week. I’ve had two major issues repaired in the last few years. One was a street light and one was a bad lighting arrester a block
away. Unfortunately I cannot locate either phone number. Stay vigilant and you will get it resolved.

Thanks, Michael! I thought the same thing when I pulled my issue out of the mailbox today since many of our Club members have dealt and are currently dealing with line noise (Al N9UO now too) so this will be a timely topic for discussion at our meeting on Saturday. Please bring your ideas and experiences to share with the group so we can help each other with this problem. See you on Saturday!! 73 On Thu, Aug 19, 2021 at 4:52 PM Michael Forsman (KEØTCF) <om@...> wrote: As many of you know, I've been spiraling into madness off and on over the last few months trying to run down various sources of RFI around the place, particularly in the last week or so, since it's gotten worse than ever. --

Also, for anyone interested, this site has been enlightening. Audio samples of various types of RFI!

I could go into detail of all the various red herrings I've chased down in pursuit of this, but I won't make this post that long and deranged...I will probably respond to this thread with more info about that. Anyway, I just pulled this month's QST out of the mailbox, and was thinking to myself "how funny would it be if it has something about finding RFI in this month's issue", and as I turn it over, what do I see? -- 73,
