[sad trombone] It turns out the macOS package manager doesn't update the permissions of existing files if that is the only change, so if you have previously installed the broken package (1.16.0.1) you will need to completely uninstall the old package before installing the fixed package (1.16.0.2). Read below for instructions on how to uninstall/reinstall.
