Just learned that VTA has hired Derik Calhoun, former Director of Transportation at AC Transit in Oakland, to be its new Chief Operating Officer.  He's due to start in January.

Mr. Calhoun replaces David Hill, who left VTA earlier this year to found his own transit consulting firm.
