WT Sparrow likes Ed Levin Park

Hi Birders-

Made a late afternoon visit to Ed Levin Park. I've been checking the tamarisks at Spring Valley for a month to see if the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker may have returned. Nothing yet. A Golden Eagle and some White-throated Swifts were soaring over the flagpole. The WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was foraging at several spots along the north edge of the Elm picnic area. Along the golf course fence a Sharp-shinned Hawk was perched on fallen eucalyptus branches and a dark Red-tailed Hawk flew over the area. A Great-horned Owl was heard out on the golf course. No Long-eared Owl was seen.
