TAO open tonight, maybe. Astronomers meet at Gondolier, 7:30 pm

OK, the Clear Sky Clock still looks bad, but Astropheric offers some hopeful predictions.

I'm going to go to Gondolier, Midtown between 7:30 PM, and visit TAO later.  Astronomers are invited to meet me at Gondolier

Cheers,
David Fields

Hey Dave, I hope you are doing well and get some clear skies.  I just bought a new color imaging system about a month ago. Every night in CS it is the same thing.  It starts to get cloudy over the mountains in late afternoon and then the clouds move over our area for all night.  So the imaging system remains in my home office and not outside.  It is the usual new equipment jinx. I sure it will be clear in a few months during the below freezing weather.  I have electric warmed clothes.

The astronomic club that I am a member, Colorado Springs Astronomy Society, is huge (+300 members) and owns it’s own dark skies place in the mountains.

Gondolier sounds great, but is a bit of a drive!

Clear Skies

Hey Michael,
Good to hear from you! Colorado Springs is a great place with a fantastic history, and a wonderful site to do astronomy.

I hope you come back for a visit. I remember the great barbecues that you used to grill every year for the annual SMAS picnic at TAO.

We need to start that up again.  I’m heading for Gondolier’

Cheers,
David
