Satellite tagged Long-billed Curlew Update
MV Dozer, the satellite tagged Long-billed Curlew I monitor is heading back to his Idaho breeding grounds. His last California reading was Sunday, March 21 at North Point, Morro Strand State Beach, CA. On Tue. March 23 he was at Lahontan Reservoir, NV. On Wed., March 24, 2021 he was located in NE Nevada. Petra Clayton first encountered MV Dozer on June 21, 2020 at Morro Strand State Beach. He had just arrived from his breeding grounds in Indian Valley in the West Central Mountains of Idaho. Dozer was fitted with a satellite transmitter in May 2020 by the Intermountain Bird Observatory.
