Possible Sharp-shinned Hawk nest

Hi SLO folks,
This is quite a good record if it holds up. For perspective, Santa
Barbara County has only 1 breeding record from Cold Springs Creek near
Montecito in the early 90s.

Karen Clarke reported a possible Sharpie nest at San Simeon. This needs to
be checked carefully, as I know
of only two attempts in the county - one reported by John Roser (?) at
Huff's Hole several years ago, and a pair
building a nest along Coon Creek in about 93 - unknown whether either was
successful. Tom, do you have any
confirmed records of successful Sharpie nests in the county?
