Estero Bluffs State Park is a mostly unpublicized coastline starting north of Cayucos and extending 3 miles up the coast. Enjoy a slow-paced walk of 1.5-2 miles along a beautiful and wild ocean bluff trail. We’ll look for birds of prey, including eagles and falcons, as well as diving ducks, shorebirds, waders, gulls, cormorants and wintering terrestrial species.
Bring a hat, water, snacks, sunscreen, binoculars and field guides (if you have them) and dress in layers to accommodate wind and changing weather. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Restrooms are not available. Rain cancels.
Experience Level: Beginning to Intermediate. Photographers welcome.
