Geese on Turri Ponds- correction

After closer look at my photos from this morning it was a Ross's Goose, not a Snow Goose.  Didn't want to send anyone on a "wild goose chase!"

While seeing geese grazing in the estuary is a rather common sight in winter this morning several chose to cross the road!  On the large pond seen from Turri Rd. there were 40+ Canada Geese, 1 Snow and 2 Greater White-fronted geese. While I watched something set them all up, some flying south east and the rest into the estuary on the west side of South Bay Blvd, honking all the while.

At least 1000 Least Sandpipers were feeding in the same location. A nice way to being the morning!
