Later saw a smaller RU/ALHU for size comparison. Second sighting was also brief (total viewing time both visits was under 30 seconds), but the bird hovered at one flower long enough for one burst of poor photos. I only saw the over all size and shape again, but the photos show the blue tail feathers, mottled green and brown upper parts, and red based and dark tipped bill."
