- Reported Jul 29, 2021 08:49 by Tom Edell
- San Simeon Creek Mouth/Beach, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=35.5956267,-121.1267052&ll=35.5956267,-121.1267052

- Comments: "Two small murrelets with very short bills together just inside the kelp bed. Both appeared mostly dark above and to the water line at distance and under overcast skies but did show white in the up turned undertail and a small bit of white on the wing. Clearly smaller than Pigeon Guillemot that flew by them. I suspect both were adults due to the mostly dark faces, breasts, and sides."
