Cayucos Creek mouth

I made a quick stop at Cayucos Creek mouth this morning.  Glad to again have a chance to see the female plumaged Common Goldeneye up close.  A female Hooded Merganser was also present.  Both were visible from the parking lot accessed from North Ocean.  They can be expected to head to their breeding areas in the far north soon so if you want a close up look you might stop by. Hopefully they will still be in the area.

A few Western and California gulls and a Pied-billed Grebe were the only other birds of note at the time.
