My son Owen texted me from his mtn bike ride today...
"At least 3 Lewis' Woodpeckers flying in between the oaks and eucalyptus trees to the left of the dirt road. Calling. Rode my bike up Poly Canyon and noticed some different flight patterns from a couple of woodpeckers. Didn't have my bins but clearly LEWP. Seen at 11:34 am. I couldn't find a cavity that they were consistently going to but they circled the gate labeled Poly Gate 4"
