Morro Bay Yard- 6 warbler day!

There have now been a total of six warbler species visiting our yard today. Not sure but this may be a record for this location. A little after 5:00 this afternoon a Nashville Warbler stopped by to bathe.  I spotted him when he was just about finished, all wet and fluffed up but luckily the bold eye-ring, greenish back, yellow under tail and other features helped me to separate from the earlier Tennessee.

This morning between 10:00 and 10:15 five species of warblers dropped into our yard to take a quick bath before moving on. Tennessee Warbler in basic plumage was the honored guest followed by Black-throated Gray, a daily visitor since 10/4, Townsend, Orange-crowned and Yellow-rumped warblers all joined the party
The Tennessee remained nearby for about 5 minutes, popping in and out of the hedge after the bath.
