spring birds Nipomo
I looked outside this morning to find not one, but two White-throated sparrows; one tan stripe, one white stripe. Great comparison study with both birds on the grass picking out seeds within inches of each other.
I also had 3 Pacific-slope FC, an Ash-throated FC, 6 Pine Siskins, at least one Hooded Oriole and 3 RB Nuthatches, among many regulars. There were 3 swallow species representing and even White-throated Swifts in the mix.
48 species on the 1-mile walk. Quite entertaining.
