Barrow's Goldeneye- continuing Pismo Creek Mouth

After a disappointing early December glimpse of the Barrow's Goldeneye, I was re-motivated by recent reports to try again this morning between 8:30-10:30 AM. SUCCESS! The bird was located 1/2 way between the Cypress Street Bridge and ocean. It was in the area where a  pile of rocks comes down to the water on the RV resort side of the creek. It was with group of 2 male Surf Scooters, Buffleheads, and American Coots. He put on a nice show- preening and swimming. Ebird list has photos and a video.
