At 10 AM the Common Ringed Plover was at the same location it was present at the past two days. It appears that the tide needs to be high enough to flush birds from Morro Bay. It was not seen during yesterday lower afternoon tide.

The bird continued today (Oct 4) in the usual location near post #6 on the Morro Bay Sandspit.
Common Ringed Plover is on the California Bird Records Committee review list. The committee appreciates all information provided on the species is reviews and could not perform its volunteer function without the help of birders like you. See https://www.californiabirds.org/guidelines_resources.html for information on how to submit your notes and/or photos to the committee.
Thanks to everyone that takes the time to document this exceptional record.
