Oceano Lagoon, 10/18
Short visit to Oceano Lagoon campground rendered a Common Moorhen/Gallinule, in its usual spot across from the cypress just beyond campsite 17. Finally got it after 4-5 visits. A coot harassed it,

Re: Sharp-tailed Sandpiper
I just want to make a correction for some eBird lists. I didn’t first find the bird, my brother Kilian Hampl first saw it. He then called over Will Knowlton, who first identified it.

Oceano morning
I took a spin around the outskirts of 0ceano campground, avoiding people and stuck to the edges. I deviated to find and photograph the Common Gallinule, which I was able to do.
My blessing/curse this
