Sand Hill Crane
Hi all,
Sometime last week we (Pacific Wildlife Center) had a our first ever Sand Hill Crane (juvenile) brought to us. It was reported as being found at Creston road and Hwy 41.

Oh, yea. I forgot to mention we had what looked to be a youngish
White-throated sparrow a couple days ago too.
A few Yellow-rumps are here too, along with the regulars - White crowned

We've had Pine siskins up on the hill for about a month. Usually 5 -10
birds either on niger feeder or eating safflower on ground and using the
fountain for water and baths.

Yesterday morning I found a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW at the mouth of Cayucos

Pismo and Avila
I first went to Pismo Creek. There were lots of American Coots. A pair of Buffleheads were the first I've seen this season. Several Ruddy Ducks were there also. I saw one female Lesser Scaup.
