Black oystercatcher chicks in Avila Beach

On Avila Beach Drive between the car bridge over the estuary and the Cal Poly Pier there is a big rock offshore. It may have a name but I call it Black Oystercatcher Rock because they try to nest there every year. After one failed attempt in June, they have now succeeded and have two chicks that are a day or two old. They are visible from the road as black dots so a long lens or a scope would help.
