Last night at dusk I got a good look at the silhouette and bouncy flight of a nighthawk winging through the air of the Elfin Forest, it's white wing patches flashing in the not quite light confirming my suspicions. Lesser, Common? I could not say. Only the second time I've seen them out there in over 30 years.
