Harlequin Duck (Histrionicus histrionicus) (1)
- Reported Feb 26, 2021 11:20 by Kathanne Lynch
- Port San Luis, San Luis Obispo, California

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S82480432
- Comments: "Continuing bird. Male. 50 meters from shoreline on the "Cammy&Larry" rock 2 hours after high tide went out. Flew off well but left wing only raised to horizontal and not higher. Looked at profile, but sun angle allowed seeing only a patch of orange on the flank.

This is only the second male I've seen.
Lifer at Port Towsend, WA with Beth 2000-2010."

Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Feb 28, 2021 09:18 by Tom Edell
- Point Sierra Nevada Beach, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=35.717177,-121.3134003&ll=35.717177,-121.3134003
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S82531093
- Comments: "Scoped from Hwy 1. The bird was with a larger Black-bellied Plover in the grassland at the back edge of the beach dune. At distance the smaller size and browner plumage was evident when compared to the larger gray and white Black-bellied Plover. In flight the PGPL was noticeably slimmer and lacked the black arm pits of a Black-bellied Plover. Presuming this is the continuing adult Pacific Golden Plover present here all winter."

Dark-eyed Junco (Slate-colored) (Junco hyemalis hyemalis/carolinensis) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Feb 28, 2021 10:18 by Nick Belardes
- Meadow Park, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=35.2675798,-120.6606531&ll=35.2675798,-120.6606531
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S82523201
- Media: 1 Photo
- Comments: "Continuing. Also seen Feb. 1, 10. I think is my first photo of this specimen, which is different from the slate/cismontanus I have also seen this year at Meadow Park. This specimen appears mostly slate where it isn’t white, including head, flanks, tail, back. Far more slate than the other bird. Upon close inspection of the photo, there may be some brown on the back of this bird, though I can’t fully conclude as it might be the poor lighting/shadowa within tree canopy. For now I will lump this with my other two sightings of this bird. Spotted in two different park trees at the Casa Diablo feeder location."

Streak-backed Oriole (Icterus pustulatus) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Feb 28, 2021 06:30 by Cris Heins
- Islay Creek Campground--Montana de Oro SP, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=35.2736118,-120.8838502&ll=35.2736118,-120.8838502
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S82548998
- Media: 6 Photos
- Comments: "First seen at 7:10 flying into the cacti. Over the next 40 minutes it would move around in the cacti for a few minutes, then fly out to the riparian areas and come back a few minutes later for another round. Best views finally were at the lower end where it was feeding in the open. Cacti are at 35.27480, -120.88636. It was definitely coming back a second time to get much improved views of this spectacular bird! Photos."

Streak-backed Oriole (Icterus pustulatus) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Feb 28, 2021 08:15 by Jim Moore
- Islay Creek Mouth--Montana de Oro SP, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=35.2754126,-120.8874173&ll=35.2754126,-120.8874173
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S82547270
- Comments: "Continuing bird which we would had never found if we did not know to look for it in the prickley pear cactus batch on the south side of the road just before the entrance to the Islay Creek parking lot. True to its reported behavior, it gave brief views as it darted into the depths of the cactus. We saw it twice. First it emerged briefly then flew off toward the campground. The second time it darted off in the opposite direction over the hill toward the sea. It was recognized by its yellow color."
