A few warblers- Del Mar Park, Morro Bay
Del Mar Park continues to host 2 interesting warblers.
The Blackburnian Warbler, a rare eastern migrant, was seen repeatedly. It was usually seen just a little above eye level moving about in the willows on either side of the little bridge.
The American Redstart, also a rare migrant, was seen but not as cooperative. It usually appeared on the west side of the bridge flitting about high deep in the willows. Watch for the fanning tail!
Other warblers seen in the morning were Orange-crowned, Townsend's, Yellow-rumped, Yellow and Wilson's.
PS. Looking forward to hearing about some of the morning adventures as the Common Ringed Plover was refound on the MB spit! The 8 mil r/t distance on the deep sand dunes, heat forecast and air quality discouraged me from attempting the quest. "Gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em".
